Like a thread, life is a series of moments strung together to create the immovable momentum of the passage of time. This thread is both the sequence of physical and mental experience that make up the existence of an individual, and the fabric of our history. We are constantly surrounded by the vast unknown and unknowable of what has been, and of what is yet to come.

Humanity is moved by this momentum. In days filled with constant motion, a string of accomplishments that move us forward in time, in our constant attempt to move from “point A” to “point B”, we often forget to                Stop.                Breathe.                Observe.   To pause and enjoy the moments and the details that make up the day-to-day.

For me, photography offers that brief, creative reprieve from the constant commotion of the day-to-day. A chance to reflect on the details that make up our humanness, and our innate sense and need for identity. I am and always have been a details person. Caught in my own curiosity of how the details add up to make a whole. Photography offers the leisure of quiet observation, of time to reflect and appreciate the details that are so often overlooked.

So Stop. Relax. Observe. Enjoy.
